is this a good workout to follow?

could someone look over this workout for me and tell me if it looks effective or not?
Basically it's a 12 month full body workout divided into 10 phases and providing you with log books to track your progress and weight/reps. From what I have looked at so far it provides good visual instructions for each excercise and gives barbell / dumbell alternatives if you can't access the gym equipment.

would I only see slow results with something like this due to its spread over 12 months, and because of the way it isn't optimised for any specific muscle group?

do you think it could be combined with fat loss to start with or would I need to do all fat loss first before I can get gains from this?

Menshealth is g-dlike when it comes to exercise information. They gear it towards guys like us and the information is balanced in lifting, cardio and nutrtion.

If mens health says do it; I'd have to agree.

I think that work out is good, and realistic.

But i wouldnt do it just because Mens health said so...

I do read the mag all the time but u have to take it with a pinch of salt.
Have you noticed that they never write an artical without advertising something? Thats because, someone from a company comes along (i.e. Golds gym, who have a new medcine ball on the market) and they ask mens health to write about it. So MH Mag write this whole artical saying how great it is to do exersises with a ball just to sell the product.

Its a good mag, but lookout!

The workout plans posted genuinely are well thought out, effective and balanced. Sure; advertisers affect info spots here and there when they discuss a product, but the full workout advice and tips posted really are great sources of information.
