Is store-bought 100% cherry juice a threat to my weight loss? (+introduction)

More specifically,. No added sugar/corn syrup, 100% juice, etc.

There are two things that bother me about it, though:

- It tastes damn good (call me a skeptic I suppose)
- The carb/sugar amount

I figure that it shouldn't be an issue as long as I don't drink it primarily (water is obviously the big one), and that the sugars and calories are not to be directly compared to sugar and calories from most other foods due to their source. I'm not expert, and this is just an assumption, so I may be wrong. Say if I DID drink a large amount daily (40+ oz.), do you think it would be a hindrance? I'm on a very strict diet and have been for the past 10 days. I only eat fresh fruits, lean deli meats (mostly turkey/chicken, ham occasionally) with mustard and lettuce on a slice 100% whole wheat bread (with extra fiber), and maybe 1-2 times a week I'll have a bowl of Campbell's Healthy Choice broth based soup. I'm obviously not on a low-carb diet (though I'm certainly not taking in very much of them). I drink well over 64oz of water a day, take multi-vitamins, and also use Xenadrine EFX (I try do at least a little strength training and cardio each day and this helps with energy; mood seems a little boosted as well).

Seems like an awful lot of info for such a simple question, but this also sort of doubles as an introduction topic. I've never been a member of any health/weight loss forum until now, but this one looked helpful. Not to mention I have also successfully lost 65lbs in the past and gotten into good shape. Unfortunately one of the main motivations behind that went to hell and caused over 2 years of apathy to my health (love, if anyone was curious :-/). Anywho, that means I also joined to try and help wherever I'm knowledgeable and give support as well.

Thanks for any input or comments!

Best bet is to check how many calories it has. Mosts juices have about 100-200 per cup.

So long as you eat less calories than your body uses you will loose weight :)

youo might want to do a 50/50 mix with the juice and seltzer - all the flavor half the calories...

at 120 calories in 8 ounces if you're drinking 40 ounces a day that's adding 600 calories - I personally like food way too much to waste those calories on a non-alcoholic drink

and also use Xenadrine EFX
I would also say to not use the diet pill - one i'm not sure they're really effective -or even long term safe for you... as long s you are watchigv what you eat and exercising - you will lose the weight -you dont need a stimulant

Thanks. I'm gonna treat them as I would any other source of calories then. As far as Xenadrine goes, I've had success with it in the past. I never expected it to do the work for me, or even speed up the rate of weight loss. Once I engage in physical activity I find that I have more enthusiasm and energy. Not by a tremendous amount, but noticeably enough. I get them fairly cheap too, $15.95 total including shipping for 90 ct. They certainly aren't for everyone though, as I've known people that got jittery or had bouts of insomnia because of them.
