Is my routine okay?

I'm sure you get this thread popping up all the time from people with one post like me, but hey, consistency is key.

I was wondering if my routine was okay. I'm an 18 year old guy, I'm 5"9.5 and weigh 154lb. Although I'm not overweight in terms of BMI, I would like to cut on the belly and face 'chubbiness' etc.

I started doing high intensity running 3 times a week, where I warm up for 3 minutes on 5mph, sprint on 10mph for 30 seconds, then roughly a minute on 3.5, rinse and repeat for 6 times. Then warm down on 3.5 until I'm not out of breath any more.

I also do some ab, chest and arm work outs with the only weights we have in our house (Two 5kg dumbells)

I was wondering if you guys think this would be a good way to cut on belly fat and also get some decent muscle going? (Ladies love a lean man, I'm told). Also how long would it take for the results to show? I've done it four times so far and it's not really had any effect aesthetically or weight-wise to be honest.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Honestly, you are not following the exact ways. This workout routine seems very light. Just read out couple of my suggestions.

At its core, weight loss is a simple equation. To lose weight, you must expend more energy from moving around and exercising than you take into your body as food. By expending more calories than you consume, you're tapping into your body's reserve of potential energy. That potential energy is stored as body fat. To lose weight, you must either exercise enough to burn off more calories than you consume from food, or consume fewer calories than you burn as energy.

Unfortunately, you cannot pick and choose where the energy your body uses comes from: your body burns fat evenly from all parts. Exercising more and expending more kilocalories than you consume burns belly fat, but also reduces fat in other areas of your body.

To get a more toned stomach and reduce the appearance of belly fat, focus on strengthening your core muscles. If you tighten your abdominal muscles and burn your excess body fat, your belly should attain a leaner, more toned appearance.
