Is my body fat too low?

I'm a male, aged 24, 5'11''.

I've been able to successfully drop 60 lbs in the last 15 months. I've gone from 233 to 168 lbs.

Right now though I'm wondering about the implications about losing more weight. I got my body fat percentage checked a few months ago at 170 lbs and my body fat percentage was around 7.4%.

I've heard that 2-5% body fat is questionable and that for people with very low body fat, they can get injured easier, and sick easier.

In the past few months, I've dealt with some minor gastrointestinal problems such as loose bowels and flatulence. On occasion, about once every 2 or 3 days, I'll wake up with heartburn. And I also notice that with a low amount of body fat, it can be uncomfortable to sit on a hard chair or carry a backpack on my shoulders.

Any ideas, suggestions?

2% is unrealistic. 2-5 is essential for survival.
Most people think they are X% when they are really Y%.

I've been single digits but it's never fun. Anytime you go below where your body naturally wants to be, it's going to disagree with you.

How many cals are you eating?

What are your goals?

I'm eating probably about 2500-2700 calories a day. My goals are to try to stay around 166-168 lbs. I don't want to get any lower than 166, since the less fat, the less cushioning you have, and I think I look too thin at that point. But I like staying slim so that I can wear my belt on the lowest notch and still feel comfortable, so I don't really want to go above 168 lbs, or if I do, I'll try to keep it as muscle instead of fat (since I do work out).

Forget about what hole of your belt you are on or what the scale says.

Are you happy with how you look?

For the most part I am happy with how I look. I could put on a little more muscle, but other than that I don't think that I look too thin.
