I am 61 years old male, 5’ 6” (168 cm) and currently weigh 167.5 lbs (76 Kgs).
I was 176.4 lbs (80 kgs), about early this month when I weighed I lost 4.4 Lbs (2 Kgs) and yesterday I did weigh again and found another 4.4 lbs (2 kgs) lost. I wish I could be 150 lbs (68 Kgs) soon.
I have skipped dinner for about 2 years already but no weight lost has been obtained until this recently.
My last blood test (I do this annually, the latest was July 2008) was all normal i.e. total cholesterol 188 mg/dl (HDL 36; LDL 102) Triglyceride 208 mg/dl.
Glucose (fasting) 95mg/dl; 2 hrs after meal 123 mg/dl.
Since last September, I have been walking with my dog (now 15 months Male Rotweiller) three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) about 1 hour each.
Based on the Activity Monitor recorded by my cell phone this morning, I spent energy about 260 kCal, and walked 2.63 Miles.
But I doubt this figures because if they were correct, then 166,636.8 inches reached with 6,131 steps or my step was 27.18 inches wide, this seem to far for me who is just 5’ 6”.
Anyway my questions are:
- Is it true that my current weight loss is affected by the exercise I am doing right now?
- I have been doing this walk since September 2008, why the weight lost just recently?
- Is it normal to lose 8.8 lbs within about 6 weeks?
