I'm 21 6'2 and 445 pounds. I'm attempting to lose weight and lately My meal plan has been consisted of oatmeal, grilled chicken, brown rice, and no sodas or sweets what so ever. I was wondering is it true that obese people lose weight faster? Also how much can an obese person lose in 2-3 months?

Yes the more obese a person is the quicker it is to loose. However the rate of loss is dependent on a number of factors including what your calorie deficit is, your individual metabolism and your ability to exercise. Loosing too quickly can also cause other problems including increased amounts of loose skin and loss of muscle mass which will lead to a slowing of your metabolism making further weight loss much slower and difficult.

People often hear that a healthy rate of weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds - but this is very generalistic and based on the average dieter. I prefer the way that I've seen it expressed as about 1% per week. Therefore someone about 450 pounds is losing weight at a healthy rate if they lose 4.5 pounds in the week.

Exercise can boost weight loss. Walking - at whatever pace is comfortable for you - is a great form of exercise. It was main mode of exercise I used when I was a very big person. When I first started out - my walking was very slow and of limited distance - but I was surprised how quickly I could walk a lot further than I initially imagined possible and that I was walking a lot faster too.
