is it safe

i just started strength training and well i know to do that you have to lift heavy see i use to bench 70lbs 8 reps and know i do 100lbs for 4 reps now i'm not retarded i always have my dad or my friend spot me to make sure i don't die but still give some advice is it ok at my age to lift heavy please help thanks
 
You don't mention your age in this post, but, if your age is 13 (taken from your username), then YES! You are too young to be lifting heavy and hard.

Most people will tell you that hard weight lifting can be started at 17. Others go younger, but 13 is too young.

If you are 13, try doing more cardio type work and spend your energy on proper nutrition and rest!

If you feel that you must lift, go with lower weight and do lots of reps (15+). But, better than weights, a good running routine with some jump rope (or something similar) would be more in order for your age. Your body will respond nicely to cardio!
