Is It Possible?????

Hello everyone -

I just recently joined and wanted to pose a question to those of you - hoping that I will get some honest feedback!
I am currently 4"11 and weigh 158 pounds. My doctor has advised me that to be back in the "healthy range" I should be no more than 128 - however my personal goal is 120.

Do you think this can be done in a healthy way by June 10th?
I'm going to keep going whether I'm at that weight or not by that date - but I would LOVE to reach my goal by my birthday!

Well it is 38 lbs, and anything is possible. Last year I lost 41 lbs in 6 months.

However, I was being very strict, no meat, no dairy, excersising like a mad woman, so it was no wonder it dropped off.

If I were you, I would just concentrate on eating ealthy and working out more. And if you lose it all by your birthday great, if not, that is OK to, you will be well on your way.

It is the journey, not the destination.
 
YES! I believe this is very obtainable if you wok hard. I have read many articles on losing weight and doctors and professionals all agree that to lose weight at a healthy rate is 2lbs per week. You want to lose 38lbs and june
10th is roughly 20 weeks away. To real your goal you would need to lose about 1.9 lbs per week. With good diet and exercise you should have no problem. Just be smart about it and dont get into unhealthy habits just to lose a certain amount by a set date. Remember that weight is just a number and its more about how you feel and how healthy you are. If you do your honest best and you only lose 20lbs by june then pat yourself on the back for your good work. Dont be discouraged because so many times it is that discouragement that causes us to give up. If you are losing weight then you know your doing something right. Our bodies are all different and we lose weight at different rates. Its good to take advice from people about how to lose weight and try things until you figure out your body and what works best for you. Good luck in reaching your goal!
