Is it possible to develop muscles, which will enable me to hit a number of 10 pull-ups for my fitness test, without stepping into the gym? ( i have no gym equipments at home)
My age is 14 and i am serious in keeping a fit body for my future, not for my appearance or watsoever...
My exercise routine is very lousy 'cause i dont relli know how to plan one which aids developing muscles for doing pull-ups :(

current no. of pull-ups i can do: 4-5

Weight: 49.8kg
Height: 1.66m
BMI: 18.3

Every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday:
(1). 40, 50, 60 push-ups
(2). 40, 50, 60 sit-ups
(3). 80, 100, 120 rope skipping
(4). 20, 25, 30 Reverse Press-ups

Saturday:
1. 4km slow jog

whenever i repeat the 1st list, (1)+10 more times, (2)+10 more times, (3)+2 times of (1)/(2)... up to 3 times

When there are no exams, i'll do the routine more oftenly...

Dudes out there pls help me out by offering tips for maximising my strength for doing pull-ups. I am not afraid of any hardship through the process of getting muscles(just dont make me go to the gym cause its relli far away)

i dont relli know any exercises xcept the EXTREMELY common ones(push-ups,sit-ups) so if ur ganna ask me to do some exercise with a new name, pls teach me how to do it

Hope u guys get what i mean cause i am not very good with english

- if you look at their forum they have a progressive challenge that may help you

I hope the moderators don't get mad because I've posted both of these links a couple times, but I"m not promoting or spamming, they're just good links to bodyweight sites.

Do pullups. Run that 4km at a faster pace. Do pylo pushups (to develop power). 80 skips isn't enough. That takes me around 30 seconds to do (I used to skip a lot, around 1 year ago). Try doing as many as you can in 1 minute. Or doing 1000 as quickly as you can.

what are pylo pushups??

P.S: Will there be any bad effects on my body if i keep focusing on doing push-ups??

Basicly, doing 100's of push-ups wont really help you, you need to find harder way of doing it to put more stress on the muscles.

you should aim for a maximum of 15 reps of any exercise. This may mean, going slower, or being more explosive, or widening your hand possitions, or even adding weights. i.e. if you can do 50 pull-ups or push-ups, try filling a back pack with stones or bottles of water so you can only do 15, do this 3-4times 3 times a week.

There is no point in doing it every day, you get stronger by letting the muscles heal, not by doing the acctual exercise.

You should also be doing twisting situps, hanging leg raises (hanging from a bar and raising your knees or legs) sqauts and lunges.

hmm... so u mean that i shld just do lesser amount of each exercise but do more varieties of them?
If push-ups ain't ganna help me increase the number of pull-ups i can do, what shld i substitude it with??

Yes a lesser amount, but with more resistance. you should be able to do 10-15, but you should set up your extra weights so that you are not strong enough to do any more.

try not to think like that. No, push-up will not help with pull-ups, but you should be working your whole body for health reasons.

You're only going to get better at pullups if you keep doing pullups. If you can't do one, then have someone hold your feet and assist your lift while you do it.

If you're at all serious about it, that's what you need to do, so go do it.
