Is it healthy to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks?

Ok, so starting January 5th of this year I began a journey to lose 60 pounds in 6 months. Lo and behold after about 2 or so weeks, I've already lost 15 pounds. I'm not starving myself or anything, but since the healthy weight loss is 2 pounds per week, I'm a little scared in losing too much too fast. Is this healthy?

Right now I'm averaging around about 2000 calories a day, down from the 3500-4000 I used too ( I never really kept count, but there would be days I would have 4-5 cans of pop and eat half a carton of ice cream. I work full time as a merchandiser for Pepsi (which I consider a labor intensive job) and work out approximately 3 times per week doing cardio (run between 2-3 miles) and a few sets of sits and push ups. I want to push it to 4 times this week but I don't want to get hurt doing so as well. Anyone have any advice on my problems? I'd really appreciate it!

Also, one of the goals I set was I wouldn't shave until I lost 30 pounds... And this beard is getting might itchy!

Hi Mbg11 your question is a good one. I have worked with a lot of men losing weight and the average initial weight loss within first week is 6-10 pounds without changing any caloric intake as well as not exercising. Not sure if you are doing a cellular cleanse or not, but this is a fairly normal weight loss in the first week or two. You are probably releasing bad toxins in your body and people don't realize that can release a lot of weight very fast and safely. As long as you do not Detox or get a little sick from doing it to quickly if the body is nutritionally deficient. You are doing great!! Keep it up. You will do 60 pounds I say within 4-5 Months!!

Thank you for your response, Hildy. I appreciate it. What if I am feeling a little sick? For instance I feel as though im gonna puke at times while I'm working (something that definately didn't start until this journey started) but better after I eat or drink some h20 (I know I'm not sick, I haven't been for over 3 years. Just try to stay hydrated at all times and have a multivitamin at bfast?
