is HIT right for me

I read the sticky about Hiit but still have a couple of questions. I saw a posting for Hit on the treadmill and the highest intensity on their was 8.5mph-9.5mph but my steady state cardio is already 10.1mph on the treadmill for 4 miles then the last mile i kick the machine as high as it goes about 12mph (total workout about 30min). Is the point of Hit just to slow and speed your heart rate up, I seemed to hit a plateau before at 11% bf, so I changed up my cardio to doin some stair stepper and just some walking and the only results I got was some bulking which is pretty cool and all but my main goal was to lower that bf% and that didnt help. If I went back to tryin to lower my bf% again would it be beneficial to instead of doin the treadmill to goin to a track and just killin myself for 15/20 min, I guess my Question is would Hit be beneficial for me or should i keep the treadmill and look at other possible factors, cuz my diet was pretty on task??? Thanks

The claim is that HIIT is optimal for fat loss when compared to low to moderate steady state aerobic cardio.

But it looks like you're going at a good pretty high intensity clip on your steady state cardio as it is now ( i.e 30 minutes ...10 mph - 12 mph ).

That said, I'm not so sure you'd burn significantly any more overall fat with HIIT for 30 minutes than you're doing now with your steady state cardio ....but that'd be just a guess on my part.

However, it's never a bad idea to mix things up and do some HIIT here and there along with your steady state runs...just for variety's sake. :)
