Introduction

Hey there folks.. came across this website awhile ago, looking for some tips on weight loss, and I have become motivated to post my own experiences as they come.


Height : 6 feet
Starting weight : 250lbs

Goal : 220

Starting date of diet change : June 1st

I have been very gym active for 10 years now since i was 15( wow! long time, first time i've counted ) - I have a lot of muscle developed, but of course, as of the past 2 years, I have gone up to 260 pounds ( lost 10 already )

So - good to meet ya'll and I will post the results of the following plan :


Eating:

Breakfast - Bowl of go Lean Cereal -=OR=- Grapefruit -=OR=- Eggs n Toast

Lunch - Grilled Chicken Salad -=OR=- Tuna sandwhich on wholegrain -=OR=-
Chicken Stirfry -=OR=- Shirmp stirfry

Snack - Yogurt -=OR=- fruit

Dinner - Grilled Chicken Salad -=OR=- Tuna sandwhich on wholegrain -=OR=-
Chicken Stirfry -=OR=- Shirmp stirfry -=OR=- Fish and veggies ( steamed )

Snack - Protein Shake


Work out : 5 days a week, with weight lifting everyday and cardio every second day.


Let's see how it goes..
 
Ok, I went to the gym today, after I wrote the above introduction, and it's been 12 days since I started my eating changes.

I am down 5 pounds.

not bad for weighing myself after I ate at 2pm as well =)

Diet seems to be working great!
 
great progress and also a good diet plan, IMO. a few things i'd watch though - make sure you watch how many calories go into your protein shakes, i think of those more as meal replacements than snacks - dont overload them with calorie laden ingredients. and on the chicken & tuna salad, use fat free mayo (if you use mayo) when making it. easy for those foods to get up there in fat and calories. oh and on the yogurt, use either unflavored and add your own fruit or buy the ones that are fat & sugar free. other than that though i think you have a great routine going. keep it up and you'll reach your goals and beyond. BTW, you may already be doing some of the things i mentioned and if so please disregard what i said.

I do still use Margarine a lilttle bit in excess I'd say...

I buy the Omega-3 enhanced yogurt or the Calcium Enhanced..
Bio-Best is the brand name I think...

so hard to take out the little things - like the mayo and what not =)

you know an easy way to dump the margarine? use the spray on kind instead. my wife and i originally tried the no-fat version of margarine which is just plain terrible, then we tried the spray on kind and we're both surprised - it really does taste like margarine - we use it on toast, steamed veggies, you name it. it's super low in calories and fats, with no transfats or hydrogenated oils. give it a shot.
 
Dang! That's a good idea!

I bought the low fat mayo today, next I will try the spray!

As for water, on average, i drink about 4 litres... I am not sure if this is too much, or too little for a weight loss program.

And yes, Ghost in the Shell movie rocks! Part 2 is awsome too!

18 DAYS INTO HEALTHY EATING DIET ============================

Current weight : 245 and down a belt size!
 
240 lbs ! !

Also - started the MAX-OT weight training, and I am fairly muscular already ( with the cusion of chub ) - great program for advanced lifters!

Ok, it's been like a day, and I weigh 232 now.

No, I didn't take a dino-dung. I ate MORE than usual, and i was full on water.
What gives? I wonder if it has to do with the super heavy weight program im on?
 
Well, my weight has gone UP to 238 again, and doesn't seem to want to fall as quickly now.

I have two guesses..

1.) My insano MAX-OT training program is packing some muscle on, which weighs a lil more

2.) My body has now adjusted to my new way of eating


Combination of both?
Suggestions?
 
Depends on what your eating. Weight can range from 2 to 3 pounds or even more during the day. Weight yourself in the mornings before you get in the shower. I like MAX Ot but i use the 6 to 10 range instead.
