Hello,

My name is Neil. Don't ask about the screen name, because as much as I would like to tell you where it came from, I simply have no Idea. I made it up in high school and have used it ever since.:D

I am from Florida and like so many of you am struggling with weight. I am 25 6' 288 lbs right now and wear size 42 pants. I just finished the police academy where I lost 13 lbs from when I started. That was all PT too, as I still ate awful. I also noticed that I struggled in PT, not because I was tired, but because my legs hurt from carrying around so much weight. Lets face it, I didn't get this way by running all the time. lol

My goal weight is somewhere around 200 as I have a very large frame and am not sure if any less than that is possible. I would like to get into 36 pants also, but a loose 38 would be nice too. Last year I went to Transformations Medical Weightloss. I lost 40 lbs but have gained it all back. While they provide a plan of HCG injections, appetite suppressants, and a strict 800 calorie diet that definitely works, it goes to hell the first time you have a real meal after your cycle. I was down to 245 lbs.

This time I have decided to make a complete lifestyle change, not something that will knock the pounds off quick but something that will knock them off and keep them off. I have adopted for the past few days a 5-meal diet that is healthy, but more than the Transformations diet.

I am glad I found this site. I have looked through most of the before and after pages already and they are a true inspiration. I took pics yesterday and as soon as I se some results I will post there also. I look forward to talking with you all more as we proceed on our various weight loss journeys. Sorry it was so long.

Welcome Neil! Congrats on completing the academy, what an awesome achievement! I'm looking forward to following your progress esp since we have almost the same goals, perhaps we can lend a little support to each other.
All the best for now,
J

Hey Neil, welcome! Good job on the recent weight loss by the way!

I myself had lost a bunch of weight and gained most of it back. I was a member on here a while ago... last time I logged on was almost a year ago actually. I've come back on to make the change once and for all! I have around 60 pounds to lose, I want to be around 135 if possible. Seeing as I've never been that weight (except on the way up) I don't know if I can be that weight. However, I have 3 sisters all around the same height as myself and their weight ranges between 125-135 so I think it's possible.

Anyways, good luck with your weight loss goals and hopefully we can help each other out! Check out my diary if you like :D

Hey Neil! Congrats on your achievement and on the decision to do this the right way, not neccessarily the fastest way. I am new here as well... actaully you are my first response on a post:hurray:. I think the motivation on here will be great. As I sit here and sip my Crystal Light and know that I have not been craving any sweets today, at all... I know that you too can do it. Take care and keep up the good work!! :seeya:

I love your user name. Its awesome! I weigh myself 283.2 pounds ..and want to reach 240 ...so your weight is just about the same as mine ...

You could always start a diary. Dont be afraid to write, people will come and check on and visit you. I will keep my eye open for your diary... it holds one accountable. Give inspiration and gives you a place to vent. I even talk about the books I am reading. I have more than 25 books out from the library and I have my own library, so I need to get to reading, but I read everyday and have started my book over. Now that the book I was working on is popular now, I think I will write it and try to see about publishing it. What hobbies do you have? What are you doing to make lifestyle changes? Five meals is a good idea. I eat three meals and one to two snacks.

Keep trecking .. your writing and your on here... weight loss is sure to follow, dont give up.

always
