Interview Request With Any Personal Trainer on the Board!

Hello, I'm new here.. no, I'm not going to be one of those people that will post once seeking help and once they get it, disappear forever. I'll stick around.

Anyway, I'm seventeen years-old and I work on my school's newspaper. Right now I'm writing an article on weight-training and I need just a few quotes from a personal trainer. To be honest, I have only two very simple questions to ask. So here they are:

Why lift weights? (health benefits, stuff like that)

Is weight lifting increasing in popularity?

*So if you can answer those two questions, it's greatly appreciated. I also need your first and last name, as well as the name of the city you live in. I know some of this is private information, so if you wish to answer my interview through a PM, I won't mind it one bit.

Thanks,
Mark G

no one here is gonna do your home work for you but i'll help a bit.

1 - lifting is good for bulding muscle - more muscle increases your metabolism and help you lose fat - makes you stronger so you'll have less back problems in later life - make your body more attractive - can change your bodys profile - for some people its a sport or hobbie - like yoga and taichi its a way to release stress, focus on 1 thing and after it is quite realxing and satisfying.

2 - weightlifting has been popular for many years now. However many people still believe that weightlifting is bad for you and thats why they are against it. My own dad thort that weightlifting gave you a bad heart and weighlifters die young. This is because of the myth that anyone with bigger than average muscles is on steriods and de-hydrates themselfs.
