Well, I need help ASAP. I'm 17, 179 lbs and about 5'11. That makes me about chubby. The thing is though, i got involved in this bet. Long story short, I have 3 months (till February 22nd) to achieve the physical state of becoming "ripped" (the focus here is on biceps, pectorals, and abs). I need help as to what i need to do this, this quickly. I've heard that my primary concern should be fat loss and well, i need help, what do i eat? when do i run? how often? how often and how long should my workouts be? I need some clue as to how to do all of this!

ok, i'm assuming that since you made a bet and u want to get 'ripped' that you are a guy. You aren't in terrible shape, so with some serious dedication, it can be done. But, if you jump in too fast, u'll burn out too fast. I would suggest working up to running about 6 hours a week over a period of 3-4 weeks. Keep your carb intake down and spread out your meals through the day, avoiding carbs late at night. The workout is the easy part ... you only need to go 3 times a week for about 30-45 minutes, if you aren't concerned with ur lower body ... do bi's/tri's 1 day, chest another, and back the 3rd (back will help define ur chest and arms for a more symetrical look), and abs every day ... ur abs are the hardest part as u will probably see those results last, as you need to lose the fat first. good luck

Lots of water, replace sweets with watery fruit like melon and grapes, replace chips with lowfat turkey jerky.

Get your rest. This is where the muscle building happens, not in the gym.

Good luck!

You gotta do legs or your selling yourself short big time, for one thing its the biggest muscle in the body, and another squats will raise your natural testosterone levels. I recommend a diff split:

Mon: Chest/Shoulders/Tri
Wed: Legs
Friday: Back/Bi

You can pretty much switch Mon and Friday up, push yourself, eat lots of protein, drink lots of water, You really dont have to do abs if you dont want to. if you want a full fledged program get Body For Life, it has worked wonders for many people
