Well from what I understand ,..toning in areas with additional weight on doesnt really show the toning,...because the muscle is underneath the fat....not saying dont do it,...as muscle helps that metabolism burn,....once the weight is off though,...you are ahead of the game.
Also unfortunately we can not spot reduce....meaning you cant target an area where you want to loose weight from. The body will take the weight off where it wants to through regular excersize.
Work the whole body is what I say in your cardio and strength training!
