Injury set-back

So, I've been doing really well with diet and exercise and have been way ahead of my goal. Reached the 50% mark and BAM. My right knee swelled, hurt excruciatingly, and I could barely walk. Went to the Orthopod and had the xrays Friday and no clue. Had an MRI today and nothing is torn. I have underlying issues and history with this knee of Osgood Schlatters Disease and Hoffa's Disease. Had flair ups 6 months ago and had it injected and it was ok for a while. Had arthroscopic surgery on it 10 years ago for the Hoffa's Disease.

It seems what I have going on is inflamation of the patella tendon due to a cyclopse cycst and scar tissue in the right knee. Those issues are related to the Hoffa's Disease and the previous surgery. It is stretching the tendon and has it moved over to one side making it ver tight, tender, and swollen. Good news is surgical intervention they can go in and scrape out the cycst and scar tissue. This was all according to the Radiologist. I go back tot he Orthopod Thursday.

So, I'm out of commission for exercise for a while, but I'm sticking to the diet. The pain pills they've had me loaded up on seem to kill my appetite, so I havn't gained any weight. My wife's had back problems for almost 9 months and she is having back surgery this friday. Between the two of us, we're in a bad way. Hopefully, though, on our way to getting better.

This is just a minor set-back...Not giving up!!!
