injured: what to do until better

I had made a post a few weeks ago asking what type of routine I should use to start building, and after about two weeks of working out I went on camping trip with my family. The second day we were there I was going off of a rope swing into the river and fell about twelve feet, and landed butt first onto a cypress tree stump. I could not sit for about 3 days, and did not have a BM for about a 1.5 days until I drank some metamucil, I've got a muscle spasm in my left glute, I have a bruise running all the way from the middle of my rear all the way to my genitals and I think I either bruised or fractured my tail-bone. It still hurts constantly, and i cannot apply any pressure to the tail bone. I'm going to the doctor next week just to be on the safe side, but I was wondering what I should in the realm of working-out until it heals. Thanks, Andy.

honestly, nothing. until you know whether its jsut a bruise or a hairline pelvic fracture, I would just take it easy.

really the only thing you can do is focus primarily on diet and things that will help your body recover.

Here are some things you can do:

1. cut down on sweets since your activity level will low
2. get plenty of rest and drink lots of water
3. research shows the foods rich in vitamin C greatly reduce swelling/bruising
4. consume a balanced diet

really just no brainer stuff... I wouldn't do any physical activity.... but use this time to catch up on the newest work out techniques and such... TRAIN THE MIND!!!

get better man.

i dont think its funny. ever recived a hard knock on your tailbone? a girl once missed my balls with her knee from behind, and hit my tailbone, couldnt walk propperly for days. just moving hurt like hell.

I think I'd prefer the miss.

As for lifting, I'm with everyone.. Just sit on your arse, wait..

that's terrible! feel better!

ask your doctor.

can you do upper body work? how does it feel? that should be the gauge you use.
