In need of help, with protein/weight gain

Hello people,

I am having the most difficulty getting "bigger" and gaining weight. I am age 21/150lb/5'8. I work out about 40 minutes to a hour a every other day now. I still do little on days im not suppose to workout because I can't help myself. I do all upper body work and abdominal work outs. I've got a sixpack and my body looks good but not what am I after.
I've been taking "mammoth 2500" for a month (1250 calories/68 protein/gross amount of sugar per serving), some days I double this and I still don't get weight plus I eat 2-3 meals each day. I don't gain any fat, I just get leaner and more toned it seems. I quit working everyday because my body would just be sore and tired. Even on the days I don't work out I drink a single or double serving of Mammoth 2500 each day and no weight gain. Is my metabolism the source of this? Or does life style have a great toll on what i burn each day? And during working out am I burning any of this sugar.. I don't want diabetes haha.
