impressive body

hey peeps. I just saw a film called snatch and i saw fight club and brad pitts body is impressive. his 6 paks are quite something! i wanna no how i can go about getting them kind of abs. I no diet and cardio workout is very important. i go to the gym every other day (1 week 4 times other week 3 times) and i do interval training on the treadmill and do alot of weights. Should i b doing cardio more often though? like make sure its at least 5 times a week rather than every other day? any advice would b much appreciated as i would like to gain a 6 pak like brad pitts.
p.s i read a WEEEIRED topic in a forum which said masterbation kills your workout. is that true?
thanks

Yeah i love that movie. I figure you shouldn't do weighted crunches cuz that will make your abs bulge out, and his don't bulge out, they're just really cut. if you're just interested in getting those abs do a lot of cardio and eat healthy. i think every other day is good, but i'm in my bulking phase and don't do any cardio do i don't really know.

masterbation won't kill your workout, but if you do it right before i think you may get a bit tired.

yer i thought so. i suppose to get them kind of cut abs it takes alot of time and dedication. im aiming to get something close to them abs in 4-5 months. so hopefully by June or July. I think it also helps to get payed millions of dollars and have dedicated nutritionists, and a good fitness instructor just to get into that sort of shape for a film.

Abs are like any other muscle and they need to grow to be seen along with proper diet and cardio/weight training. Weighted crunches is an excellent exercise for this.

You cant just diet and do cardio and expect to see abs when you get down to a low BF.

I disagree, this is able to be acomplished. A low enough bf% and you can see any muscle. If you do squats I feel that this is enough exercise to the abs if you don't want them to buldge.

What i'm saying is, don't do weighted crunches if you don't want your abs to bulge out. Specifically, Brad Pitt's don't really bulge out, so i told him not to weighted crunches because his goal is to get abs like Brad Pitt's.

thanks for all the advise peeps. i feel like im one step closer to achievin abs like brad pitts. It is no longer a mystery to me :D! i am fully determined and commited to gaining them abs. cardio and diet is what i will be really concentratin on. once again thanks!

So are you saying that some that has no ab development whatsover, and nearly no LBM will be able to have desired abs at a low BF?

They may have a flat midsection but abdominal muscles need to be developed. They dont magically appear when you get down to a low BF. I know MANY guys that have a very low BF percaentage and have no abs due to the simple fact that they were never developed.

Abs need no direct work, especially if your bf% is 6-8 which is low, 10% isn't low. I'm in the middle of a study where we're proving that a heavy (beltless) squat works your abdominals just as much as a crunch, if not more. So far all of the results are proving us correct. Even running will work your abs enough so they're not underdeveloped once your bf% is low enough.

And what do you mean magically appear? Dieting isn't magic, diet will remove the fat, remove the fat until you can see the muscles EVERYONE has.

I over read your post that said to do squats......sorry about that.

My whole point is that you must train your abs whether core exercises, compound movements, or directly. I thought that you were hinting at just getting down to a low BF% will produce abs but I looked over your post.
