Hello

I'm a middle-aged lady, probably not all that different than many. I have been my my ideal weight only seven years of my adult life.

I know a lot about nutrition and have taught myself several things about herbs when I had been on Herbal Life back in the early80's( those "thin" years I was talking about ) I gained my weight when I had a child in my mid 30's. I put almost all my energy in to the care of that child who had extreme allergies and asthma. Knowledge of God's nutrition/herbs helped him become a healthy young man he is today.

If I could be as persistent with my own health, I could be pretty happy and healthy and helpful to others.

I have never went to a club, organization or meeting for weight loss but I was thinking that I should--- its about the only thing that I haven't tried.

I don't dislike exercise.

Matter of fact, there was a time I was good at skateboarding ( well staying ON the skateboard well and long periods of time..hahah), biking 30 miles in a day, hit tennis balls. I still daydream about backpacking long distance and or biking long distance, or trying windsurfing.. maybe take swim lessons again to build my strength/ wind stamina up.

I have not gone about being serious to sticking to a exercise regiment for several years. I uses to walk for what I would call "for the health of it." But I have lost my walking pals and I guess I lost my desire.

I have seriously thought of getting a dog, a pretty big decision. But I have not had a dog for years and well, it is a serious commitment.

Have I mentioned that I don't like Midwest winters? I don't like cold weather:svengo:I live in the Midwest.

In more ways than one, I may be slowly turning blue about this.

SO

I do want to make some changes that I can live with for the rest of my life.

I would like to be able to be a BMI between 22-25

Here is a list of equipment I have:

Rebounder

set of 3lb and 5lb hand weights

strength bands and cords

Burley recumbent bike ( think outdoors)

1 yoga beginner DVD

Sweatin' to the 80's DVD... or something like that ... Ricard Simmons for sure!

A Sit -up contraption that bolts to the bottom of the door.

weighted vest

Ipod touch w/ Nikepod and fitness pal

Alright that is enough

Thanks for reading,
