I'm new to this

Hey everyone. I'm new the weight loss forums. I started working out heavily and seriously two weeks ago. I started at 284lbs and now I'm down to 270lbs. I'm feeling quite motivated, but I know that comes and goes. I have pictures coming soon.
 
Welcome and congrats on making a good start. We mostly keep a diary in the weight loss diary section. Feel free to start one. It helps keep you motivated.
 
Hi soooofat, it's godd that you have started a weight loss program, follow it close and you will see great results. Please take it one step at a time. Do not hurry to lose all the unwanted bodyfat in 2-3 months. You got to 284lbs in years, so you should not expect to lose all that weight in 2-3 months, consider at least 1 and 1/2 years,

Woah, you dropped 7 pounds per week? Isn't that a bit much?

But if you did it healthily, power to you! :)
 
Gerit, generally people lose a lot of weight in the first few weeks. Its mainly water loss brought about by a sudden change in diet involving a significant reduction in salt. Their weight loss will slow down considerably unless they are eating very low calories.
