I'm New to the Forum - I'm Willing to Do What it Takes

Hey. Just a preview. I'm 22 years old and out of college. I need to get in the shape that I was in high school.

Now at 22 years old:
6'2 200 lbs

Then at 18 years old:
5'11 170 lbs

I used to play Varsity basketball and football in high school as a point guard and a corner back.

Back in the day, I used to play basketball at the local courts daily and I had basketball and football practice every day after school.

Now that I don't have that anymore, I need to get back in shape.

For anyone who would like to help, that would be awesome.

I am also the kind of person that eats whatever he wants. I eat McDonald's, hot dogs, pizza, wings, soda... the whole nine yards. i don't gain any weight from it... it's just that I'm an average build now and not athletic like I used to be.

What should I do? I'm open to all options to do what it takes.

I also work in front of a computer on my butt in a chair all day from 8-5 Mon-Fri.

I just talked to my buddy.

He told me to:

Wake up early every morning:

1. Stretch
2. Do 2 sets of 25 pushups
3. Run
4. Shower
5. Go to work

when I get home he told me to

do 3 sets of 40 pushups and in between pushups, do crunches.

He told me to do this every day and rest on sundays.

He also told me to drink plenty of water throughout the day and eat healthy.

Is there anything anyone else suggests? Does this sound good?
