Hey everyone!

I'm Faith, new to the site. I have been losing weight for almost 4 months and I am down 64 pounds and 56 inches.

..starting to lose momentum and hoping to be inspired!

:waving:

Hi Faith, and welcome to the community. Congratulations on your progress so far.

Why do you think your momentum is starting to slow?

Hi steve!
thanks for stopping by.

It's weird that I am starting to become less motivated becuase my results are the best i've ever had/ only had with weight loss. maybe i'm getting cocky, or maybe its becuase im the only person i know right now on this journey. it's nive to know so many people are going through the same thing.

thats why I'm here :)

Keep at it!!!!!

Hi. I just happened on your post because I hit the "new posts" button and was scanning through. Wow. Good for you. What an inspiration to yourself and to others! While my "addiction " is different (to substance abuse for many years which I've finally kicked) I know that each time I fell off the wagon it was because I got cocky. It's not worth it; truly. Hang in there. Remember WHY you're doing this, and take it one day at a time. If you fall off, you're likely to stay off. And all that hard work that you've been in so far becomes less helpful. Good luck.

Too true, if I let this go to much it will only get harder! It jsut seems odd that its hard for me to back at it now then it was to get started.

Thanks

hello! hang in there! Be proud of yourself

hello!

i'm new too! all i can say if you went this far to lose the weight
dont give up! yes, somtimes you'll want to quit but why!
love yourself first, encourage yourself

last yr i weighed 272lbs as of today i weigh 220lbs
my goal before my 46th birthday nov 6th to weigh 170lbs

total of 50lbs to lose-get moving walking,going up/downstairs where
you live do something!

you can do! yes we can! trina

That was really nice!

Congrats on all your loss, I think I do need to start moving more. so far most of my weight loss has been based on diet alone.

Thanks for the support!

Don't get comfortable. The moment you do is the moment you revert back to old habits that got you to the point you were unhappy with originally. Refocus your attention on why you want to progress from this point forward.

If your progress has been based on diet alone thus far, just think how much more you could lose by adding in exercise! For me, I was overweight enough that too much exercise was really hard on my heart, so once I got down to a more managable weight with diet, I was able to add in some exercise and that has just increased my results!

Do some fun stuff...swimming or dancing, if you're into that, or something else that's high energy and tons of fun! Do it with some of your friends maybe, make it a group thing! It'll help keep you motivated.

Congrats on your progress, you're doing great!

Good thinking Steve, I need to push myself out of comfort and remember what my ultimate goal is.

And Lacey your right too, I need to get more active. I feel stupid walking into a gym, or a dance class though. I'm still the fattest girl in the room, but I need to get over that.

Thanks for all your kind words and advice!
