Hello everyone,

I am new to this site. I am a 6' 1" and 175 lb. male. I would like to find a way to lose the weight around my waist ("tire"). Many years ago I quit smoking. Once that happened, I found that I enjoyed food more. I go through these periods where I try not to eat so much (under 2,000 calories per day), but then I seem to get really hunger, dizzy, and not feeling so well, so I end up eating more (2,000-3,000 per day). I have read that starving yourself doesn't help you lose weight, but that is the only way I know not to eat so much. Now that I have gained this weight, I feel less attractive, and less motivated. I would like to set a goal, stick with it, and change the way I look and feel about myself. I may need some help with tips and motivation. Can you help?

AWelcome to the forum :) there is plenty of support and help here, but keeping a log in the diary section for food and exercise is a good start.
