I'm new here & looking for a little help.

Hello;

a little about myself; I'm 37 5'11" 190 lbs. In high school & college I played Hockey. Well after 16 years of trying to start a business I have gotten a bit out shape. I would like to get down to 165 or 170 but its hard doing this on my own.

I bought one of the "bow flex" machines and would like to advice on what or how to workout. How often do you workout your chest, abs, legs or cardio?

There should be a booklet that describes many exercises you can do on the bowflex, but unless you bought it used, you might want to look around on the internet for the exercises you can do on it.

Typically you want to work your muscle groups up to 3x a week or every other day.
 
ok, a Weider PLatinum Plus is NOT a Bowflex.

went to the official website, here's a list of the exercises you can do with it:

$700 isn't bad since it retails for $1,400 plus shipping.

Still my gym charges me $30 a month, and has every freeweight I could ever want. Machines simply will not build as good a physique as free weights.

Hope it works out for you...just stick with it.
