Hello!! I stumbled across this forum when looking for before and after pictures for normal people like me who have lost weight. After looking around for about a week I decided to Join! I started my weight loss on May 2nd.
I am 5'4 and was 220 pounds. I got into a pretty bad car accident which led to me having some really bad back pain. While at the Orthopedist, they weighed me. I almost had a heart attack. I couldn't believe I had let myself get this LARGE.
I have two beautiful little girls, who were both brought into the world by c-sections so it has been a little harder to loose weight. Also, I just ate what they ate mostly. (being a Stay @ Home mom and all) I just can't believe I've let myself go, and get this bad.
So as of May 9th I lost 3 pounds, and am determined to loose more. My Goal weight is 120. But Ive made mini goals, of 195,170,145 and then my Major Goal of 120.

If you guys can do it....Hopefully I can too.

I stay home with my son as well. After I had him I ballooned up to 240lbs at 5"5 1/2(I round it to 5'6 ; ). It's hard to loose weight after you have had children. I swear it was so much easier to loose lbs before I had my son. After you have children and you've been overweight your whole life it's super tough...but it's possible : )

Good Luck to you on your journey.

Thank you! I have been over weight my whole life too, just never this big. Its just crazy you can put on 15 pounds in one week but it takes 2 months to take 15 pounds off!! I really hope this time I can lose and lose for good.

I know just where you are at! I am a SAHM to four kids and it's crazy hard to diet! I have to make a nice meal for five (my dh and the kids) and then prepare a tiny low-cal/low-fat/high potein meal just for myself.
And before I had kids, I could spend hours at the gym!

And it's SO true that weight that takes a week to gain can take a month to lose. Crazy!

It's a real challenge, but we can do it, right?

You've made a good start and I look forward to seeing you progress further!

Crazy, today I weighed myself and I was down to 212... but yesterday I swore it was 215...I think I might be going crazy!? No way I keep saying, NO WAY!! Has anyone else used FitDay.com? It really helps... what a cool way to keep track of everything (i was just using a notebook to write everything down) but this one makes graphs and stuff!! Just thought I would throw it out there! Maybe I read the scale wrong yesterday or what!?
