I'm almost 16 now. I'm 5'9 - 149 pounds. I have always had a little stomach and a little bit of man-boob goin on. I have tried cardio (running a mile 3 times a week) and it worked for about 2 weeks. I lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks and that's all it did. I even quit drinking soda, totally. I havent had one since May 12, 2009, which was when I started this sort of "diet and exercise." I am in good shape and have no problem running. My fastest time in the mile is 6:29 I also play alot of golf. I walk in the middle of the day (95 degree weather with humidity) and spend up to 3 1/2 hours out at the course. It's my favorite sport and hopefully I'll end up going to college for it. I just want to lose say 10-15 pounds. When I started this "program" I was at 155. So I've lost 6 pounds but am staying there. Can anyone improve this. I also haven't really changed my diet besides the soda.

Hello. I just saw my nephew (who is name Nicholas too) after 12 months. He is 17 and over the last 13 months has lost 28 kilos. I asked him how he did it and he runs 6 times a week for 40 minutes, has cut all the bad stuff from his diet - soda, junk food and allows himself the occasional treat. He really has set up good habits.

Nikolas, its great that you are wanting to improve your weight and fitness now. If you can make great habits now they will last you a life time. Because I've just joined this website and I'm a lot older than you. And I'm still trying to shift those 40 pounds. Good luck to you and I hope you get into the college you want.
