Hello, I've been finding myself obsessing with weight loss again, and this google search called "thinspiration" and thinspo... and I'm finding myself.... thinking taking an apple and cutting it in halves and spreading them through breakfast, lunch & dinner is normal..... which I know is not....

I am attempting to push myself and do any type of exercise... if I dont feel like running, I decide to walk atleast 30 minutes more. But, I see that I'm not as motivated and happy to wait for results as I once was.... I'm also concerned that my stomach will never be tight and nice, so its like why am I pushing so hard if it wont ever be what I want anyways.

I need some help on some options for overcoming this hump and this plateau.... I see skinny girls and girls who are fit and I just feel like its so out of reach.

Firstly ,you are a very beautiful young woman and do not need to lose any weight.

Secondly, never waste your time getting involved with other people's issues. People on those 'thin' sites have a lot of personal issues that drive them to believe that being thin will solve all their problems but the fact is that approach to their issues just creates further problems they will eventually need to solve as well.

Thirdly, if you want to build your self esteem then consider changing your goals. Rather than being pointlessly and unhealthily 'thin' maybe aim to be lean and muscular. You will still need a strict diet and exercise programme but it will make you healthier, build good muscle tone, provide plenty of 'feel good', endorphins, you will look fit and you can take pride in your physique rather than put yourself down.

In life it's best to try and avoid the negative paths and negative thoughts that add no value and can be quite destructive to the future you hope for. One of the most important things we all need to learn is to take care of ourselves and those 'thin' sites do not promote anything but self abuse so don't go there.

Have you ever used workout DVDs to exercise? I love doing them cause I don't have to think about it, I just stick one on in the morning and get it out of the way. I find that if I leave exercising till later in the day I talk myself out of it, so I try to do it first thing. That's why the dvds are so good cause you don't even have to leave the house.

I am half Chinese (I think u have Asian in u too?) so my genetics are naturally good anyway. I find that if I work out hard I can pretty much eat anything, within reason, and get away with it. Exercise is a definite key for me to keeping the weight off.

My favorite type of exercise is interval training, where you do a segment of cardio followed by a segment of weights. There are so many good dvds out there now. If you like celebrities then why not train using one of their trainers such as Jackie Warner, Jeanette Jenkins, Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper etc. Just Google them and grab some of their dvds. You can even do them with friends so it becomes a fun social thing to do.

In terms of diet, try to eat some form of protein with every meal. It helps to make you feel full longer so u won't get cravings for junk food. The starving yourself thing is a definite no go. You'll just ruin ur metabolism and then you'll pile on the weight when u start to eat again. Eat little and often, around 1200-1500 calories a day and do the exercise 5 days a week. You will see results. Just don't give your mind an option to say no!
