I'm doing everything right, why isn't the weight coming off?

About 3 months ago, I hit the weight loss plateau. That means, it started to get harder to lose weight. Right now, I am 5'7 127 lbs. I don't eat any junk food, I eat tons of fruit, and vegetables, water, no candy, no sweets, and I don't eat after dinner.

At school, there's not much to choose from that's healthy, because most of it is chips, brownies, and sandwiches. So I usually just eat a salad with no dressing.

I run after school, about 3 miles everyday.

What can I do that I'm not already doing to lose weight? What am I doing wrong?

Also.. this is really important... how can I eat 5-7 meals a day, If im at school most of the time?

yeah the weights not coming off cause its not healthy to loose more at ur height .... maybe just try some weight training to get some tone, and add some protien to ur diet

how many meals do you eat a day? cuz i go to school too and it gets hard to eat six meals a day, but ive been working on my goal( a six pack) for like along time and i just tries eating about 3 meals and three snacks every 3 hrs and im jsut now seeing results. it helps u burn the food faster and lose weight. also since ur hitting a weight loss plateau u have to change things up a bit
good luck

I didn't see your other post? However, it isn't that hard to eat often even while your at school. Most of us go to work every day and manage to eat lots of meals. Take rice cakes, fruit, nuts, sandwiches, protein drinks, protein bars, etc with you.
As far as hitting a plateau goes, you can't do the same workout day after day and expect to keep seeing results. The body needs an increase in difficulty in both cardio and weight training to keep seeing results. However, you need to be eating plenty to fuel your body if you're going to do this...

5'7 and 127 lbs sounds ideal.

The number of meals you eat per day and when you do depends upon your schedule and the number of calories you want to take.

Carry healthy snacks to school. That way you can avoid overeating at meals and will be able to sneak in good snacks. Take some carrot sticks, pieces of fruit, nuts, sandwich etc. to school.

Your height/weight seems about right. I hope that you aren't getting obsessed, as that can lead to eating dissorders...especially for teen girls.

There is also the factor of the closer you get, the slower it comes off...........that's the way it was for me, but my doc and my support structure kept me going.

to me it really sounds like you have a self image problem. At that height you are really where you should be. And with all the cardio and no protein, and what seems like lack of needed calories, you are most likely burning into what little muscle you have, therefore making you appear heavier.

If i was you I would obssess over healthy eating, not weight. Take a brown bag with shakes and healthy snacks for school time. Make sure to get a good breakfast before hand as well. Start looking around for foods you like with high protien to support your physcial activites. You do this for a little while and trust me you will see and feel a difference.

I have to agree that at your height & weight, there has to be an image problem more than a weight thing. The numbers (5'7 @ 127) just add up fine. However I agree that based on what you say you eat, there is a lack of protein. If this is so, then your body's gonna feed off your muscles...;). Try throwing in a couple of protein bars into you purse or back-pack. Make sure you're taking in a sufficinet amount of calories. And also change up your work-out routine a bit.

have you talked to your doctor? especially at your age it would be a good idea to get his/her imput . . . they can help you reach a healthy goal

I know it's been said over and over but I gotta say it again. If your 127 at 5'7 that sounds like a perfect weight for you. Myself I feel great! At 128 at 5'5 and couldnt imagin being any smaller. Of course I dont know your structure. I am medium to large boned however which makes a diffrence.
