I'm consistently going to the gym for the first time in my life!

I just realized, that in the seven weeks since I signed into my new gym I went there 20 times. So my goal of going 3 times a week would be 21. I'm proud I came that near to 100%.
I'm proud because in the past this was always the start of a pattern: If I missed gym once I missed it a second time because the perfect week was ruined anyways. Then I often would not go back to the gym at all. But not this time. I just called my gym buddy and told him to meet two days later at the gym so we could work out together. I found it really easy to stay consistent when there is someone who expects me to show up.
But there is more success! My gym buddy who I relied on in the first weeks worked day shifts for 2 weeks straight now, so he could not work out when I did. But I still got my workout done, alone, with my own willpower! I also sticked to my meal plan and lost some pounds because the success in the gym motivated me.
7 weeks is not as much as other success that are posted here. But I'm so excited and wanted to share. I'm super confident now that I can do it and reach my goals. I think this is more a reminder for my future self is stuck on a bad day and feeling down. But maybe someone appreciates this little story anyways.
If I can do it you can too! Maybe find someone that has an eye on you or shares your goals.

That's excellent, Sterling! Pushing through even when your gym buddy couldn't join you was a hurdle that you overcome. It's great to sense your enthusiasm. You will inspire others here to step up their game. Keep up the good work. You've got this :)
