Hi all :bigear:

I'm happy to join this forum. Because I was looking for more motivation to achieve my goal which is to reach 52 k / 114.64 Ibs . I started my journey to losing weight on 20 November 2016 . Now, I weigh 74.1 k / 163.3625 lbs. My biggest problem that most of my fats is in my belly :( . I 've read that losing belly fats is the hardest part . But I'm trying not to lose hope. If you guyz could recommend any particular YouTube workout or tips I 'd be grateful . Also, I'd appreciate if anyone who used to have big belly then lose it to share their experience with us.. that would help me to keep going ..

Do you think I can achieve my goal in 3 months ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Thinkbig and welcome to the forum! Belly fat tends to disappear relatively late in our weight loss journeys, which is very frustrating, but it´s also the most important to get rid of because of the health risks. One thing that´s important to remember is that chronic stress makes it more likely that you deposit fat on your belly. May I ask how tall you are? 52 kg would be quite low for most people, but of course if you´re petite it might be perfect. However: don´t try to lose 22 kg in three months, that´s way too much for someone who isn´t obese to begin with. Half a kilo a week tends to be fine to do longer term but more than a kilo a week is definitely too much under normal circumstances. Better to build healthy new habits you can stick with for the rest of your life.

All the best for your journey!
LaMa

Hi Thinkbig & welcome to the forum. I agree with LaMa. 22kg in 3 months is too much, too fast. You will lose more in the first few weeks, but 1/2 a kilo a week will be attainable & more healthy. You want this to be sustainable & long-term. All the best, cheers Cate

Thanks LaMaria and cate for replying to my thread.
I'm petite . 153 cm/5 feet.
I was 52 in the past and it was perfect for me . currenyly my body not that bad but chuncky a bit. it's the belly is my real problem. I heard if we sit down long hours this helps in developing a belly. in my work I sit long hours on my office and at home most of time sitting to my pc. even if I do excercise that may last 30 _60 min then back sitting in front of my pc. I advise everyone to be careful of having belly because if its there it's hard /next to impossible to go ( without surgery intervation). you can say it's my complexity .

Have a nice day all :)

The time you spend on your computer at home is something you can change, no? Even if it´s only getting up and doing a couple of squats/jumps/knee raises that will get the circulation in your legs going again and will help you burn a couple more calories. What kind of food do you eat?

It's my third week on eating healthy
No processed sugar at all,no fast food, no soft drinks, and no white flour.
Lots of vegetables and fruits. Drinking 8 glasses of water. and trying to do excercise daily but I get bored easily.
My body not fit I get tired very quick.

Sounds healthy to me but remember to not eat too little. If your body gets tired easily that's one morw reason to spread out your exercise over the day. If you can do a couple of minutes every hour that's a LOT by the end of the day.

Good morning all :)
I weight in myself this morning
It's 73.8 kg
I need to start measuring the sizes of body parts biweekly or monthly. I believe it helps to motivate me

Thanks for this fourm .It's awesome

Congratulations on your first loss! There are quite a few people here who go by measuring arms/legs/waist and it´s helpful when the scale stalls for a while (which is sometimes does for no known reason...).

hi all

I was reading about "Visceral Fats" which is the real problem for most people. Because they gather around vital organs and can be very dangerous to our health, let alone giving us that ugly belly pot. I'd like to share this video

If we have on this forum any nutritionist or sport experts who can give tips to how to get rid of this Visceral Fats would be appreciated.

btw some scales can measure how much Visceral Fats you have .. I did order one from amazon ..

Have a nice evenings :)

There is no way to target fat on specific regions of your body (except surgically). You create a calorie deficit and your body decides where the fat disappears first. Sorry, but anyone trying to tell you otherwise is likely to be trying to sell you something.

I agree with Cate and LaMa that 22k in three months is probably taking things too fast. Don't rush. Also, you want to make sure you stay within the healthy weight range.

Or, if you are on a computer, you can highlight what you want to copy & paste as you are used to doing & it will just say "reply". I found out accidentally! It doesn't work on my phone, as I just tested it. Cheers, Cate

I'm a bit discouraged to be honest.

Because I used to put the scale on my rug and it says 74 k . Then, the following week it says 73 k.
I was happy seeing some progress.

But I read somewhere that for accurate reading we need to place the scale on ceramic floor and I did yesterday. It says 75 k :(

But I'm trying not to let this discourage me.

and yes you 're right I shouldn't rush

Thank you for u all
Cate , LaMa and Butterfly88

O that IS discouraging! Bloody scales :( But the important thing is that you're making changes that will make you happier and healthier in the long run. You can do this!

Don't forget that, especially women, have hormonal fluctuations that cause water retention - I can gain and lose 5-8lbs in a DAY! Also, even if the scale does say 75k, it doesn't mean you went up in weight, it just means you might have been a couple lbs off - what's that in the span of your LIFE, right? As you get healthier, fitter and slimmer, a couple of pounds is an easy fix when your life becomes healthier :D

I know it feels like a lot right now but it does get a LOT easier as you feel better. The scale will flux throughout the months and that's okay. Honestly, it's okay. I have to tell myself that SO many times and it still doesn't really feel real sometimes...but it is.
