I'm 16, male and want to loose weight

Hello. I'm a 16 year old male and i want to loose weight and gain some muscle. I am 6ft 1inch tall and weigh 277lbs. i use an application on my phone that determined that i should have about 1950 calories per day but i reduced that to 1900. i have been sticking to this for about 2 weeks and according to my weighing scales i have been gaining 1lb per week. I used to eat about 3000-4000 calories per day so i think i should be loosing weigh right? also i weighted myself with no clothes one week and weighed 277 one week, 276 the next and 275 the next while i was going up 1lb per week. i also wore the same clothes when weighing myself so i think my scales is broken. my mom just got a new one but i have yet to weigh myself. my goal is 1.5-2lbs per week. i have very little time to exercise, the reason being 2-5hours of homework every night. i get about 1 hour of walking at the weekend spread out over friday, saturday and sunday. i sweat a lot and continue to push myself and not give up. what im asking is, are there any good exercises or exercise machines that might be good. i dont want any gimmicky junk from any advertising tv channels unless they work. i have dumbbells and was thinking of getting a rowing machine or an elliptical machine. also i eat pretty healthy compared to the way i ate before. thanks for any advice and support :)

Honestly, you can get a great workout without machines. We actually have no machines here at Crave Fitness and get people into fantastic shape. Try doing different types of calisthenics. There are many different types of push-ups and core exercises you can do (standard wide hand, close hand push-ups, etc.;sit-ups, leg-lifts, v-ups, and more!). Instead of walking, start running. When around the house, don't walk from one area to the next, bear crawl instead! Always try to change up your workouts to keep the body guessing. Its good that you're eating healthier because diet is crucial! Remember to have lean proteins like chicken and egg whites. Avoid white bread, pasta, and simple sugars. Make sure the fats you're taking in are healthy fats, like those from various types of nuts. Good luck on your road to fitness!

There is a link to a good calorie calculator. After plugging in your specs, it says at 2800 calories, you won't change weight. At 2250ish, you would be in good shape to drop about a pound a week. For most people, 500 less than your average daily intake should be a goal. Any less and it won't show significant results. Anymore and not only will it feel quite painful, it is actually unhealthly and can lead to not only malnutrition, but your body can think its starving and do some nasty things that make you actually GAIN weight (because it thinks your starving!).

You don't HAVE to work out to lose weight, but I highly recommend it. I would recommend doing strictly cardio to start, it really is the most beneficial thing to someone overweight. Try a 30 minute power walk after school each day to start. Try to start jogging some in between your walking. Switch it up and bike one day, walk the next. Do you like skateboarding or rollerblading? Those are good choices too!

Free weights are great, my personal favorite as they work your muscles in REAL motions instead of just training for a machine. I would focus mainly on upper body (arms, chest, back) rather than legs for two reasons. One, an overweight person carries around that weight all day, so their legs are naturally stronger. Two, almost all cardio you will be doing probably is harder on your legs than arms. Focus on cardio first, and if your not exhausted afterwards, fit in some free weight exercises. Try not to lift weights everyday. First off you'll be too tired to continue your cardio and get burnt out. Secondly, you shouldn't work the same muscles everyday, and since you are new to this rather than trying to rotate weights everyday, just lift every 2 or 3 days instead.

Definitely try for cardio 7 days a week, but at the very least 5.

Goodluck!

Weight loose is a necessary one for good health.Without using diet food one person cannot loose his weight completely. In this sense he should use the food which consist of less calories.
