If you want it, Take it! :]

That was from a fortune cookie and as silly as it sounds it actually changed the way I looked at my life!

My name is Cassie, and this is my diary.

I always knew that that "someday" I was going to lose weight. Tomorrow.. next week... next month... I realised it was never going to happen if something inside me didn't change. You see I wanted to lose weight, but really, I didn't have the will to do it. I would have weeks of diet or exercise or both for a short period then I would just give up. Then, one day I was marking my calendar(where I keep said fortune cookie paper) and I noticed those six little words staring back at me.

"If you want it, Take it"

Oh, I wanted it! So right then I remembered a sermen from church. Our pastor said that everyone chooses their own path, but if you want to change, He can change your will. I thought that was absolutely what I needed, for some spiritual assistance. I prayed, I prayed for Him to change my will and to help me accept what I need to do and do it. You see I had already made up my mind about it, but He made up my heart about it!!

I feel that's where a lot of people get stuck. You really want to lose weight, you really want to make a change in your life and you've made up your mind about it. But you haven't quite had that change of heart that allows you to face that challenge and accomplish your goals.

I'm glad I had that "epiphany", if you will haha.

So anyways, gosh I've rambled on quite a bit huh? XD
I just want to say good luck to everyone, and wish me luck on my journey! I will be hoping to update once a day(hopefully!!) I'm really glad I found this forum. I hope to get inspired and maybe even inspire someone myself :]

Thank you!

just can't wait

So I woke up at like 5am and could not fall asleep, so I took it as a sign to do something proactive!

I grabbed two bottles of water and hopped on the bike, and about 45 minutes later I had 10 miles in the bag!! Honestly I feel great, I know I'm really going to make a difference this time.

I know I said that I was going to wait until the 21st to introduce exercise into my diet plan, but I just couldn't wait any longer. I feel so motivated after reading a lot of of other peoples diaries and seeing some "before and after" threads. I can't wait until I can put some in between photos, and especially my after picture!

Start weight: 189lbs
Current weight: 182lbs
Goal weight: 125lbs

Until next time!

Today was a super busy day for me so I didn't get to eat that much, bad I know.

Breakfast
After my ten miles on the bike I ate 4 boiled eggs with Crystal(YUM!)

Dinner
For dinner I ate about a palm size of peppered chicken, a third a plate of salad(no dressing) and a palm size amount of potato salad(yyyuuuummm)

Throughout the day I drank lots of water, not sure how much though

I know, I know!! I probably should have ate more, but usually I do trust me :]. Like I said though, I was super busy today. Oddly enough I didn't feel hungry or get cravings at all between the two times I ate. I'm definitely not going to keep eating that small of amount of food though!!

Anywho, until next time!
Cassie

Yay, welcome to the forum!! Good to see you getting fired up straight away!!! Lol you really should be eating a lot more than that though, I would drop dead on that amount of food. If you drop too low you'll find your weight loss will slow and it will be harder to maintain.
Hahaha can't say I've ever felt like getting up at 5 to go for a ride, but go you! I know you can get there:hurray:

Hey y'all!

Short update today from my mobile because I'm at work. So today was weigh in day, and I'm down to 180lbs!! Woop woop! 9lbs in two weeks is just the boost of motivation I needed to know that my goal is reachable!

All of our goals are!

I can't wait until weigh in next Saturday to see how much I've lost with exercise as well as diet.

THANKS luzdafuzz and sunflower!! Everyone here is so supportive and kind. We all have the same goal, become more healthy!

Thanks, Cassie

Sunday entry

So I realize that on my weekends I don't really have time to exercise because work has me busy from 2:30pm-1am both saturday and sunday so I figured that they would just be break days from exercise, which is fine.

I don't really have a routine, but my weekly goals are:
-at least 20 miles running per week= 1 hour a day
-10 miles a day on the bike= 40-45 min a day
-Rock Solid Abs= 15-20 min a day
-bench press and lat pull downs= 20 min a day
-punching bag= hardcore 10 min a day
total time a day is about 2.5 hours not including break
(isn't this a routine!?!? haha)

What my diet consists of is:
Special K products
-Cereal
-Protiein shakes
Salads (w or w/o dressing or cottage cheese)
80 cal Yogurts
eggs
lots of veggies
a piece of chocalate a day (about 60-80 cal)
For dinner I eat whatever I want but I use portion control. What I do is I use my hands as a guide.
1 hand for meats
.5 hand for potatoes/pastas/bread etc.
as much veggies as I want

For drinks it's about
90% water
5% Juice
4% milk (+cereal milk)
1% diet soda
***drinks is weekly %

So yeah, that's sort of it haha! Oh yeah! For those of you who had not read my "newbie intro" I'm 20 years old and my starting weight was 189lbs, my goal is somewhere between 130-135lbs but on my ticker I put 125lbs because I feel I can reach it, but if I dont then it's still a win!!

See you tomorrow!!
Cassie
