If I could just...

Hello people,

I'd like to introduce myself

My name is Mandy Wilson.

I've been struggling with my weight for some time now, and I've tried most things, like healthy eating, exercising etc.

I'd like to ask a question to you all.

I think it's important to set goals and targets when you are trying to shed the pounds.

So I want to ask what is the biggest problem you face when losing weight?

Why can't you lose weight?

Also, how would you respond to this statement: "If I could just..."

If you could just...what?

What would make losing weight easier?

Thank you for your attention, and look forward to hearing your replies.

It's not that easy....

Every weight loss program is personal. We all need to lose varying amounts of weight and have different obstacles.

Some people can't even afford a membership at the "Y" and others have personal trainers.

Some of the young ladies are agonizing over 10-15lbs and other are trying to literally lose 100's.

My obstacles change. Injuries give me set backs at the gym. When I argue with my wife I want carbs. When I'm happy I want beer.

I started really losing weight when being thinner was more important than a beer or a snack.

Everybody has choices to make in life. You can choose to give time to your health or you can choose to ignore it and hope that it goes away- and if you ignore your health, it will go away.

The thing that makes this easy is when you stop and realize that you already have enough to do and that if you exercise and eat properly, you will have that much more energy, capability, and time to do those things in. An hour a day seems like a lot to most of us, especially since most of us don't think we have time to get to the things we want to do, but if you make time for this, you will have time for everything else.

So this is motivating for me. The knowledge that I will have the capability to do more than I can do now is motivating to me.

If I could just find the energy, I'd never sleep.
