hi everyone! i'm new here, just posted an intro thread. :) i'd like to get your opinions on the following:

1. i don't own a scale. for my entire life, my mom has refused to buy one ("i'll know if i gain/lose weight by how my clothes fit" blah blah). the only time i know my weight is when i go to the doctor (which is rare). i've lost weight before without ever weighing myself, but it is harder for me to lose it now. do you think i will stay on a better track if i weigh myself regularly? how often do you weigh yourself?

2. i haven't seen any posts on using a rebounder. what do you all think about it?

thanks in advance...

edit: yeah, sorry, i guess i should have said what a rebounder is. here's one:

I use a scale--probably way to much according to my husband. :)

I don't know what a rebounder is though.

I've never heard that term either...

I love my scale...it's digital, and very accurate. I love how I can see a loss, even a minor one, and it encourages me to keep going. However, I am not the kind of person who gets discouraged when the number goes up a little during the course of it; if you are, then it might not be right for you.

I've seen the rebounder and if you go to there's a few reviews there.. a rebounder is like a mini trampoline...

the worst thing about them from what i've seen and read is that if you have any kind of bust at all - that bouncing will hurt you if you don't wear a very very supportive sports bra.. and i'm talking anything bigger than a C cup.

I've always heard that measurements and how your clothes fit are a better judge of how you are doing weight wise.. that didn't work so much for me because i gained close ot 100 lbs and didn't replace my wardrobe.. and I never wore elastic waist clothes... my clothes were always just a little big then they got not so big.. scale is a better repreentation for me and I weigh every other day at the same time.
