I was Just Wondering

What if i just did a HIIT session on my punching bag like every other day, but i still ate a enough clean food to gain weight. Would that be like actual muscle that i'd gain or what?

the hiit shouldnt ruin for your muscle gain no, as hiit is suppose to burn fat and not anything else. do you weight train aswell as do hiit?
 
Yeah i weight train too, i just haven't been able to much recently because of my schedule. I just wasn't sure what it was i'd be gaining because hitting a punching bag is like cardio, not like lifting weights.
 
So if i just do an HIIT session on the punching bag for now, until i actually have time to work out, and i still eat more than i burn, i can gain actual muscle mass?
