What if i just did a HIIT session on my punching bag like every other day, but i still ate a enough clean food to gain weight. Would that be like actual muscle that i'd gain or what?

Yeah i weight train too, i just haven't been able to much recently because of my schedule. I just wasn't sure what it was i'd be gaining because hitting a punching bag is like cardio, not like lifting weights.
So if i just do an HIIT session on the punching bag for now, until i actually have time to work out, and i still eat more than i burn, i can gain actual muscle mass?
