i want to lose at least 15 lbs! and i need help!

hey,
I am at a weight of 135 lbs right now at a 5'4" frame. After having my son i have had a hell of a time losing weight. I just started eating healthier and i exercise everyday. doing pilates, cardio and free weights. I am seeing myself getting toned up nicely in some areas, but there is still fat to be lost. any suggestions???
maybe a sample diet and exercise plan would be appreciated cause i have no clue. thanks

I read in one of your other posts about your nighttime snacking - that is something you have to try to control first and foremost. A clean diet is the way to go for fat loss, in conjunction with a cardio and weight-lifting routine. What are you currently eating?

what i currently eat

well for breakfast i have:
A bowl of shredded wheat N Bran with fat free milk and splenda.
A cup of coffee with fat free non dairy creamer and splenda.

Snack: I will have an apple of a fruit of some sort a little before lunch.

Lunch: A low fat yogurt and Cambells select minnestrone or Garden Vegatable soup.

snack:either raw veggies with fat free italian dressing or some kind of fruit.

Dinner I have:
Whole wheat pasta with fresh tomato sauce and a side of veggies or a salad.

and lately i have NOT been snacking in the PM and am starting to see a little bit of a diference now!
how does my diet look?

Breakfast looks good - good choice of whole-grain cereals. I would add some protein to the meal, as well. Perhaps some eggs or egg whites? Or a bowl of cottage cheese?

The same goes for lunch - add some more protein. A joghurt and soup isn't really a meal, either. If you're going to have joghurt, it's best to have plain joghurt (to avoid all the added sugars) and sweeten it yourself with some fruit and/or Splenda. And soups (unless homemade) aren't too great a choice given the loads of preservatives, sodium, sugars, etc. I would recommend some plain joghurt, a grilled chicken salad or tuna salad for the protein, and even some whole-wheat toast w/ natural PB?

Dinner - good choice with the WW pasta and fresh sauce. You should have protein with supper - meat?

I'm glad to see you're noticing a difference since cutting out the night-time snacking. Just remember that it's fine to eat in the evening - but you have to have self-control. Have a bowl of cottage cheese and fruit, or a bowl of oatmeal, or something else.

thank you . i am definately going to start adding in more protein to my diet and trying the plain yogurt. i get to the grocery store today so i will get all the goods that i need.

natural peanut butter - full of healthy fats, and fats also help you feel full.

There are some yogurts out there with no fat, and use splenda for sweetners, so the only carbs come from the lactose and tiny bit of real fruit they put in there. I for one can't stand plain yogurt, especially since i cover up the taste/consistency of cottage cheese with yogurt ;)
