... I really think I can, this time.

Ahoy, everyone! I've never belonged to an online support community before, so maybe this will be the trick to staying honest & moving forward with finally getting in shape :)

At the moment, my mom and I are both participating in the Physicians Weight Loss Centers diet system... basically, low calories, protein supplements and LOTS of water. I admit I'm a little skeptical of the PWLC, but it's a camaraderie thing with my Ima, and she digs it.

Reasons for being here:
1) limbering up/slimming down to be a better player at Capoeira
2) a fine lad (the sort that doesn't mind that you aren't at your physical best, but that makes you want to be, aye?)

I joined about 1 hour ago and this is my very first post. I was attracted to your post because of the words 'I think I can, I think I can'. Although they are a simple string of four words they are very powerful. I say this because I like feeding my mind with positive thoughts that reasure me that I will succeed. I do this religiously every day. I even write them down in a notebook and have collected many.

In my opinion the mind, motivation, and the power of thought are often underated and overlooked when we are trying to lose weight. It is my belief that whatever we repeatedly tell ourselves (ie. daily pep talks) can make the difference between a good weight loss day and a bad one.

Good luck with your weight loss and thanks for inspiring me to write my first post.

Good luck with your path! But be careful about protein suplements, protect your kidneys. I'm sure you'll find here an wonderful support. go!
