I soooo need to lose weight!

Hello all! I am new to this forum and I am excited to be here! I made a decision TODAY to make a change for the better! I am 28 years old and way too fat! I am always tired and always sleepy for no reason! It's not like I have a strenuous job (I sit at a computer all day) and it's not like I do anything physical that would make me tired!

I hope to meet more women like me who have been struggling for years to lose weight! Every year I say to myself "this is the year that I am going to get skinny!" And then I see a piece of cake and I forget those words even crossed my mind!

I am a social eater and a "I'm bored" eater. Me and my best friend LOVE to hang out but whenever we see each other, it's always at a restaurant! If I'm at happy hour, we always say "I'm HUNGRY...let's go eat!" Eating has become my social mechanism and it's KILLING me....literally. And it's not like we go to SUBWAY.....we go eat pizza, mexican, Italian, etc!

Anyway, I am done with the dramatics but I know there are people out there thinking "OMG THAT'S ME TOO!" So to you, I say, let's HELP each other!!!
 
well that used to be me atleast, I sit at a computer all day long at tech support + go to school and play hockey yet I lost 125lbs in a year...Its hard you sit there and have absolutely nothing to do it almost makes it easier to eat, and you just sit alll day.. but getting back to it.. what are your goals? How much do you weigh how tall are you etc? How do you plan on losing the weight?

Hello and welcome. I also have a sit down job. I try to walk every night after work that is if the weather is good. I don't mind cold but can't stand rain. Well anyway I also will get bored and feel like I have to eat. I find myself more hungry at work than at home most of the times.

I think you will enjoy the group welcome.

Yeah sitting here all day does nothing to help motivate me!!! But I need to do something because my backside is getting WIDER and WIDER!!

what are your goals? I want to lose 60 lbs by the end of this year! My birthday is in February and I would LOVE to wear a new outfit a few sizes smaller than what I wear now!

I joined 24 Hour Fitness a month ago and I am emberassed to say that I've been a few times! I was doing so well when I first joined. I think I lost 5 lbs that first week. But then I told myself "I won't go today, but definately tomorrow..." and then by the time I knew it, I hadn't been in THREE weeks! And what's even more emberassing is that I pick my sister up from the gym three times a week and STILL has not given me motivation to go! I think I have serious issues!! I like 24 hour because they have great machines and great classes to take that help you along the way. They have this awesome salsa class that really gets your heart pumping and it's FUN all at the same time. I just hope this time I really stick to it! I don't want to be dead before I'm 35!

It is really great that they have things you are interested in. Just look at as something that I am going to do for you. You will find you will make all kinds of good supportive friends there.
