Hey guys!
I just joined the group. I'm 22, in grad school, and I recently got serious about losing weight. A huge step I took was signing up to run a half marathon at the end of January. I'm doing pretty good with exercising 5 times a week, and I also cut my calories down to a more appropriate level. I guess I just need that motivation/encouragement not to eat more than my limit. I don't comfort eat, I just really like food!
haha
The reason for my thread title was that at my last doctors appointment, I told my doctor that I wanted to weigh 140-145 lbs (I am 5'8'' and currently 182, although at the time I was 196), and she said that would be the weight where I would "look good in a bikini." For some reason, hearing a stranger say that, losing weight suddenly became real, attainable. I want to do this, and I'm going to. All my life, I've never owned a bikini. Wow, it'll be so great to wear one...
Anyway, I'm really excited about this forum and I can't wait to lose some weight!
Cheers!
ps-I want to do one of those weight loss ticker things, how do you do that? Thanks!!
