I plan on

Taking martial arts once I get money. What should I learn first, seeing as I used to take Go-ju (hard/soft fighting style), even though I was a white belt. I have basic knowledge in a variety of fighting styles, and I box on a rare occasion. What would you say I should take, and if you could, list the benefits and what the style reflects on (grappling, throws, striking, etc.)

What do you want?

The instructor is far more important than the martial art.
The only thing you need to choose is if you want to do competition fighting or a martial art.

Find all the clubs in your area and go to all of them. Most clubs will let you watch and most will let you have your 1st class for free.

In reference to your question - There are 100's of core martial arts and for each martial art there are 100's of different styles. So if I were to answer your question I would have to write an encyclopedia.

to be very very basic, Karate from mainland Japan is quite solid, and hard with long stances (shotokan).

Okinawan Karate is softer and more sensitive, with more varied hand positions (wado ryu).

Judo is almost completely grappling and takedowns.

jujitsu is basically judo and karate

Southern Chinese kung fu is very upright like Bruce lee using mainly the hands and elbows, and is very energy efficient (wingchun)

Northern Chinese kung fu is much more fluid, uses big arm movements, lots of crescent kicks and is very energetic (wushu)

Korean taekwon-do is mostly kicking and is mostly competitive.

I’m sure I don’t need to explain boxing and kick boxing

These are the most popular fighting arts in the UK but there are 100's of others. And there are exceptions to each of those I just explained
