i need lose weight

ok guys i draw ssi check 607$ for my hearing time i pay bills dont have much money left buy healthy food can i still eat what i want as long as i workout im 6'0 weigh 386...and wat should i do when i hit a standstill because i know you guys have had sucess..wat calories should i aim for and how much should i change it up because i know if i ate like 1500 calories or 1800 it will slow my metasoblism down i just need know what i need aim for
 
well what you need to do is start eating less. Track your calories over the next few days to get an idea how much you consume. Then start eating less. How you chose to do this is up to you. Some people go on a strict 1600 or 1800 cal diet. Dr. Oz has said to decrease your cal absorbstion by 100 calories a day until you get to your goal calories.

Exercise is great, but that alone will not help you lose weight.
 
ok so after 2 months is up should i change my calorie intake or keep it the same..because i know your body will get use to anything so what should i do there?
 
Do what works for you. If your still losing weight then keep at the same cal range. Once you've slowed down, you can eat a little less or you can start moving more.

Mind you, my advice is VERY general. I suggest you read the stickies posted around the forum....most are located in the 'on topic' section. Our "resident expert" Steve has alot of great info about weight loss posted there :)
