I need help!

Hello everyone!
I'm 5'6" and 162 lbs. Ideally I'd like to lose 22 pounds and get down to 140. 22 pounds doesn't seem like a lot but it's the same 20 pounds I've been trying to get rid of for what seems like forever! Every day I wake up and say to myself, "today I'll go for a run", or "today I won't eat that cookie", but I just have horrible self control. So I'm hoping that joining this site will give me more motivation to get on that treadmill! :D
 
No one can take that cookie out of your hand for you and no one can make you get on that treadmill but you.

Remind yourself regularly why you want to lose weight and get into better shape - and find the real reasons... yeah yeah yeah everyone says health and all that but we know those aren't the REAL reasons...:D find your reason and hold onto it.

Spend time with the stickied threads and work out a reasonable calorie range (news flash - it won't be 1200 - :d and work on regular exercise.

Start yourself a diary and dhave fun while you're here..

We all know that health is the correct answer to why we want to lose weight...but the truth is health is usually only a small part of it. Myself...I just wanted to look better. Feeling better was a bonus.!
