I Need Adivce!!

I am 5-10, and weigh approx 174-179. I'm trying to get around 160-165, but cant seem to get below 174. My problem is, I was an overweight teen, and luckily grew out of most of it...but I still have a belly that doesent fit my body. My upper body and lower abdomen are thin, and theres a belly right in the middle which doesent want to leave! my waist has gone from a 34 to a 33...but the belly remains. I go to the gym 3 days a week, use the elyptical for 30-45 minutes and also do 40 crunches a day. Am I doing the wrong things to rid of this spare tire? please advise!!
