The title pretty much says it all, I feel that way much of the time

Not sure hwo I got from 6'1" at 220 and in shape to 6'1" and 265 and out of shape but it took me a few years so I guess it will take a whiole to get rid of it all. I have already gotten rid of some becuase I am currently 245 but I have been stuck fluctuation between 240 and 245 for over a year now. And everytime I get to 240 I have to do somethig at work and reinjure my knee or knees and then I am bac k up to 245.

So as I sit here typing, inste of exercising , with a knee brace on both knees I think I figured out what I have to do....take a nap...aaa no.

I need to spend more energy than I take in which means more exercise so last night I went down to my basement and jumped on the exercise bike...ok I didn't actually jump, I kind of climbed on...but that's not important right now. I went for about 15 minutes at a not to fast pace but at least I did it. I do beleive I could go faster if my knees would allow it but they are not happy right now.

Here is the kickier to all this, I have noticed that when I am 240.... my knees do not hurt as much but at 245 it is pretty much constant.

anyway, here is what I was doing last week, it is not all that strenuosu but at least I was exercising.

15 minutes of body weight exercises and 15 minutes of freeweights (dumbbells) followed by doing a form I am suupsed to practice from a marital art I am now doing called Wing Chun.

I was big into martial arts back when I was 220 but that was about 15 years ago.

Well enough of this for now, when I do more I will post it here

Well last night I did not sit down like I usually do I tried to walk around more and I did do some Dao-in and Taijiquan

Good work oldster..... way to go fighting that urge to sit , ... I am inspired....off to do my treadmill ( as I am sitting now reading & typing this...lol).

happy weight loss, keep up the efforts,

Maryann .

Everytime I here the term Oldster I think of Sponge Bob Square pants. my youngest watcher that and they use the term on there, gerenally associated in some way with Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy

Well my office managed to cripple me last week and I am in two knee braces today. However I was able to do some Wing Chun last weekend (in braces) and I did not do too badly with the diet. The only other exercise I got was climbing up and down a ladder to clean the gutters.

6'1" with a bad knee... me too.

Hope your knees are feeling better this week. Still have one good one here but quite an annoying place to be injured.

Got any suggestions for good exercises that don't put much strain on the knees?

Suggestion for exercise, stationary bike not set to high, I have settings on mine that go from 1 to 10 and I put it on 8. I had it set to 9 but it was not helping.

I have been dealing with a bit of a set back, My right knee, the better of the two, apparently got jealous of all the attention my left was getting and decided that I needed it shojld be worse than the left and went and did exactly that. I am out of the knee brace on the left but the right is now in a semi-ridged brace.

I am just getting back to exercise and in this process of having trouble walking I have gained about 10 pounds.

Here I go again, still feel like I need a nap but I have to keep going
