I need a diet plan

Check out Nancy Clark's book " The Sport's Nutrition Guidebook" for a good eating program for athletes. It is important to get balanced nutrition, enough protein, enough carbs, EFAs and lots of vegetables and fruit.

thanks but where can i get that at. even if i could get a sample diet plan for one day that i could change around just a sample of something to follow

Well, it depends what you are looking for. You can find diets all over the internet. But if you want something specific, talk to a nutritionist who can advise you on what exactly YOU need for your body. It is hard to give you specific advice without personal information. For example, what is your activity level? Are you trying to gain or lose weight? It would be useful to have a nutrition analysis done so you know what to focus on. You can find Nancy's book at by doing a search for the title.

thank you. i'll look into seeing a nutritionist. as far as my activity level goes i don't work out too much.i try to get to the gym at least twice a week.if not then i lift weights in my basement, ride the bike for thirty minutes, hit the speed bag, and do crunches.usually not all in the same day.my goal is to try and lose some weight and tone up.

You are welcome. It sounds like what you need are suggestions for lifestyle change. Don't "diet. If you diet you will end up going back to those habits you had before. You want to make permanent healthy choices that will stay with you forever. I have been focussing on eliminating the junk and processed and white foods (flours, rice, refined sugar, etc) and making healhty nourshing choices myself and in the last 7 months I have lost 75 lbs and over 50 inches. I have upped my activity level too and it has made a definite difference.

Cheers
Mary
