Yesterday I had a big cheat day I went to a buffet and ate a lot of dessert and seafood I’m pretty sure I ate about 7000 to 6000 calories that day and I’m 5 pounds more on the scale, I woke up I’m 128.7 I was 124.8 I gained a lot of weight and my stomach is still big and I’m worried about how I will lose it.

While having a binge on desert and seafood is not great it is not as bad as it may seem. Firstly your overnight gain is not all fat, a lot of that overnight rise will be a mix of fluid retention and the weight of your stomach contents. Keep up proper fluid intake and normal eating and the bloating/fluid retention will resolve itself.

When you diet leptin levels plummet, leptin is an important hormone controlling weight loss, a day of not having a calorie deficit goes a long way to restoring leptin levels and preventing weight loss stalls.

So should I just stick to my normal diet? When will this all go away
