i hate who i have become..it's time to change!

hello hello everyone..you can call me c.
i'm a 19yr old who has struggled with her weight for about six years now.
i've suffered from anorexia, bulimia, and exercise bulimia as my weight fluctuated.
now i find myself "healed" of those diseases, but also at my high weight.
ultimately, i'd like to lose around 60lbs.

i'm 5'10" without shoes and weigh around 230lbs.
a vast majority of my weight is in my belly and arms.

what else?
i'm a college student.
i live in a house with 3 skinny girls who order takeout all the time.

hopefully, i'm not too doomed. :)
 
No sweetie, you're not doomed at all! You have made a HUGE step by joining this forum and by deciding that you want to change. I sincerely congratulate you for taking this step.

We're here for you whenever you need us, so feel free to lean on us. Consider starting a diary so that we can all come by daily and encourage, support and share tips. You WILL do this, don't fret. You're a fighter and have overcome some overwhelming obstacles I have no doubt that you will win this battle as well. *hugs*

You CAN reach your goal weight - it's one pound, one day and sometimes one meal at a time :)
 
Welcome! I hope you find the folks here as inspirational and supportive as I have found them to be. It's so nice to know that you have someone in your corner!

When I was 21 I was 275 pounds and lived in an apartment with three very very very skinny girls! I found myself down about my weight all the time. And just knowing that they could eat anything and stay thin, drove me nuts... not to mention that each of them saw themself as being fat.

Do you have any goals in mind? A specific size of clothing you'd like to wear, a weight goal, a caloric intake goal? What do you think your biggest hurdle will be in trying to lose weight? I really think the first step is to look inside and determine what your goals are. And then figure out how to reach those goals in a healthy manner.
