Hello everyone,

I just found this site and I hope that it will bring me the motivation that I need... I am a mother of two and really need to shed some (a lot) weight. I have tried many different diets before and it seems that I can lose the weight but it keeps coming back I really want it to work this time for good.

SW 250
GW 160

I am not sure if that is possible.

Hello and welcome Tryinghard!
We have simalar goals and this is an awesome website.
First off start a diary and keep all the foods and exersices you eat and
do down even if ya have a bad day put it down and you can go back and
see what your doing wrong and also there are lots of great people here
that really give ya the support you need to get through it!
I am just watching my calories and fat and walking alot for exersicing.
Almost everything you like can be made healthier or is already made!
I am a big fan of Lean cuisine foods and Weightwatchers foods and
deserts! I wish ya all the luck and you came to the right place for support!

Thank you for the encouragement... that is a great idea about the diary.. I have started to do a lot of walking. I haven't really let anyone in my family know that once again I am trying to lose this weight so it is hard for me to buy the prepackaged meals, I do have a weight watchers cookbook and I pull recipes out of it and they will eat it. I don’t want to tell them because I don’t want to disappoint them again.:confused:

I've just joined this site too, loving it so far, everyones really supportive!!

Good luck with your weight loss plans, you definately sound like you have the determination to do it!!

I was just thinking, it's probably actually a good idea to let your friends and family know your weight loss plans. All mine know, and they help to encourage me!! eg my boyfriend has started only cooking me healthy meals when I go round etc!!

Don't worry about dissapointing them, the fact that you don't want to will just be an extra incentive to stick to your goals!!

Also, don't worry bout speacially prepared weight loss meals too much, just make your own, which you said you've been doing so thats great (they're even better for you than the packaged stuff anyway!!
